Bernadette L. Peters was born Bernadette. Lazzara, born in Ozone Park Queens New York on February 28, 1948, is a singer/songwriter, as well as an author of children's books. In her five decades of professional career performing on stage, she's appeared in television and musicals along with solo shows as well as recorded recordings. She was nominated and won 3 Drama Desk Awards. Grammy Awards went to four Broadway Cast Albums in which she was a part of.
